Intriguing. This article reminds me of a thought experiment when I'm programming where I'll take a word or number and try and track down in my head the root meaning behind it. Kind of a variation of a stoner's free association I'll try and map out how far back I can trace it to what it truly means to me. Like an internal tagging map. After all, even the words we read are nothing more than a form of symbolism.
